Feeling tired all the time

How are you feeling today? Tired, worn out, knackered, fatigued, exhausted, shattered, just making do? I’m willing to bet at least one of those words struck a chord. Call it what you will, but along with stress, low energy seems to be a modern epidemic. In fact, almost every person I see in my clinic […]

Image for PCOS survival guide. Christmas latte with apples and pine cones

It’s here again. ‘Tis the season of over-indulgence, when good intentions are as prone to melt as the Snowman on Christmas morning. Everywhere you turn someone seems to be cracking open a box of chocolates or suggesting another drink after work because, you know, it’s Christmas. For anyone with PCOS this season can be fraught […]

We are all familiar with the feeling of butterflies in the stomach before a big presentation or when you lose your phone. But the connection between our brain and our gut goes much deeper than a few nervous knots. In fact, scientists now refer to our digestive system as “the second brain” and it can have […]

healthy and happy woman at sunset how to balance your hormones naturally

You spend your days rushing around, trying to keep on top of your job and a to-do list that just keeps getting longer. You feel constantly tired, but blame it on the 24/7 lifestyle you lead. By rights when you finally collapse into bed you should fall straight asleep, but your mind won’t stop whirring. […]

  • I do what I do because I love helping women who are struggling with a troubled tummy, anxious mind and low energy to feel better in themselves and happier in their own skin. Everyone’s health journey is different - and rarely is the path to true vitality a nice smooth upward slope. Often there are bumps and sometimes full-on mountains to climb to get there. The key is to keep going, aim for consistency NOT perfection - and celebrate the small wins. And when the big wins come, really celebrate.
✨
One of my wonderful clients surprised me this week with this beautiful bunch of flowers to celebrate reaching her goal, with the words “this has been life-changing”.
✨
If you feel lost and in need of support on your health journey, I’d love to help. Just drop me a PM or follow the link in my bio to chat.

  • You’re not just what you eat, you’re what you absorb. And if you’re stressed out, running on empty or just getting through the day, your digestion can really struggle.
😳
Sometimes that shows up as day-to-day nervous knots, bloating and bathroom trouble 💩 or it could be full blown digestive issues.
🤷🏻‍♀️
This isn’t how you’re meant to feel.
🤦🏻‍♀️
If this sounds like you, join me and the wonderful @anna_mindfulyoga for a day dedicated to how stress affects your digestion - and most importantly - what you can do to feel better in your body again.

.
- real-life advice on what (and how) to eat to calm your nerves and support your stress response
- relaxing yoga sessions to support digestion (any level welcome)

- a goodie pack to take away including recipes and practical tips and tricks

  • When does a smoothie become soup? 🤷🏻‍♀️
.
Got the proportions a little lopsided this morning so this turned out quite a bit thicker than anticipated 🙄 Still, tasted great which is the main thing! 💪🏻
A smoothie is a great way to start the day, especially if you don’t have much time and/or your tummy is a little sensitive.
.
The key is to make sure you’ve got a good protein base and some nice healthy fats to keep your energy levels stable throughout the morning (and help you avoid that 11.30am siren call of the biscuit tin).
.
I’m a big fan of whole foods rather than ultra processed powders, so for this one I used flaxseeds and coconut milk - the colour is thanks to the berries (I used frozen - much cheaper and they keep longer!) and beetroot. Oh, and a dash of cinnamon and some cacao powder, because 😋 Trust me, it works. .
If you’re juggling a to-do list longer than your arm and don’t know what to eat to keep your digestion on track, join me on Sunday 3rd November at Yoga Campus Finsbury Park.
.
Together with @anna_mindfulyoga we’ll be diving deep into how stress affects your tummy - and most importantly what you can do to feel better. The day will be filled with practical advice and restorative practices designed to help you feel more calm and in control.
.
Plus, you’ll get a lovely goodie pack to take away with easy and delicious recipes (like this one) that will help to soothe your stomach - and won’t take ages to prep.
